I work one-to-one with you in a safe and confidential space. This could be face to face in person, face to face online by video call (Zoom) or on the telephone.
The number of sessions usually vary from 8 to 12 but can be longer. This will be discussed at the start and reviewed regularly, together we choose what is right for you.
The initial session is spent taking time to get to know each other so I can begin to understand what's affecting you now, what issues you have faced, and what you may like to explore in our sessions.
Sessions are usually held at the same time and day each week and run for 50 minutes for adults and 45 mins for young people. Length of sessions are agreed to suit your needs.
I believe that talking therapies can help explore how you feel and give you the space to make decisions in a non-judgmental safe environment that help you find a way through difficult times.
I work in a variety of ways, which can be, in a Person Centred way, using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or a mixture to suit you and your needs. I also draw on other types of counselling such as solution focused and mindfulness to ensure you get what you need.
The aim of these sessions is to improve the quality of your life, giving you better understanding of yourself and the ability to choose how you live.

I have considerable experience with young people from 5 years upwards from every walk of life. My specialist commitment to them is unparalleled, ensuring a young person gains access to the help they require at a level they can respond to, in a way that works for them. Always putting the young person at the heart of the time we spend together.
Adults have so much to do, deal with and worry about. I give you the space and time to talk about your thoughts, emotions and reactions to life in a private and confidential space. We work together to explore aspects of your life helping you to make changes, improve your life and feel better.
I am passionate about working with older adults, giving you the space and time you need whether in crisis or wanting to explore aspects of your past, present or future. We can work together at a suitable location and time, helping you to improve their life through talking therapy.
Loss is incredibly hard for all affected. It can be helpful to get support from a counsellor or therapist. Counselling can offer non judgemental help for those who are grieving. Bereavement can cause many different and changing thoughts, feelings and behaviours, I offer confidential time and space to explore these. Helping to find a new normal and to find a way through.
